HOW TO AUDITION - PAY CLOSE ATTENTION

This is the difference between being in the cast and being passed up!

We are looking for projection, diction and creativity.

The minute you walk in, be READY!

1. Slate: In your biggest voice, give your name and grade. Tell the judges the roles you are auditioning for and perform your best monologue from the set of monologues below (if required for the position you've listed - ONLY PICK ONE).

2. Cold Read: You will be given a piece of a script to act out. ALL ACTORS will be required to cold read. THINK - HOW would your character ACT and SPEAK! Remember - PERFORM! (The audition pieces are available under the audition information - be prepared).

3. Sing your audition song segment.

Must be memorized and feel free to move and act it out while singing…that’s a bonus. Please note one of the songs listed above is for audition based off the interest of your role. ALL males will be asked to sing "Under the Sea (0 - 0:45 unless judges request more)" and all females will be asked to sing "Part of your World 0:11 - 1:14 (unless judges request more)" AND "Poor Unfortunate Souls (0 - 1:22)". You will only sing a PORTION of the song. I would recommend the Movie version.

4. Show Off: THIS IS YOUR CHANCE - If you have a funny joke or want to show us an accent, awesome dance moves, or gymnastic moves please do. THIS IS A MAKE OR BREAK part of the audition. PREPARE SOMETHING!

**Parents are allowed to watch but WORD TO THE WISE -- sometimes this causes your child to perform poorly. We do NOT recommend it. We do NOT recommend it. We do NOT recommend it.
