Mentoring Websites

Global Digital Library
- This website has books from the Global Digital Library. The nice thing about this website is the ability to change the font size of the books to help students be able to read them when sharing your screen.
Literacy Cloud
- A wonderful resource of books that tend to be relevant to children in an international context
African Storybooks
- This site has thousands of books sorted by reading level that are culturally relevant to kids in Africa and other developing countries.
Unite for Literacy Books
- Has a large amount of books with pictures.
Storyweaver
- Online source for storybooks of all levels.
Khan Academy
- This site has free course available for almost any subject that is taught in elementary and high school
Start SOLE
- This website has a repository of "big questions" that you can look at with your mentee. Have your mentee pick a question and then go to the internet together and search for an answer. Try to create a detailed answer with your mentee and then challenge them to share with they find with their family and friends!
Connect Four Game
- A fun game that can be played with mentees.
World Virtual Tours
- This website has links to the virtual tours of different places around the world. You can find tours to Zoos, aquariums, art museums, and other interesting places.
The Size of Space
- In this website, you can show your mentees the real size of planets, stars, and everything you can find on Space.
English teaching material
- This website has different material and activities for teaching English
National Geographic Kids
- In this website, you can find lots of videos, games, experiments, readings, and even quizzes about different subjects.
Scratch
- In this website, you can develop creative thinking in your mentees and you can learn to program along with them
Wordwall
- In this website you can create your own teaching resources in an easy way and you can also find activities designed by other people
Cultural research
- In this link you can find information about the cultures of different countries and areas around the world. You can use this to know more about your mentee's village.
Wonderopolis
- Here is an amazing website with almost 300,000 questions to wonder about! You can find answers to great questions that will give your mentees the motivation to keep wondering!

- A website with ideas and examples to create great lessons!
