Dr. Ze (Mia) Zhu

Dr. Ze (Mia) Zhu is an assistant professor in the Industrial and Organizational Psychology program at UNO. She received her PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from George Mason University in May 2021. Her research interests include occupational health psychology (e.g., employee well-being, recovery from work stress, supervisor support for recovery, work-life balance) and research methods. Her ultimate goal is to help employees have a healthy, happy, and sustainable working life.

Justine Fiscus (MA/PhD)

Lab Manager

Hi, my name is Justine! I am an MA/PhD-track graduate student in the Industrial Organizational Psychology program at UNO. I work at the Center for Children, Family, and Law at UNL on the training evaluation team. I graduated from Kansas State University in 2021 with a B.S in Psychology. My research interests include the work-family interface, specifically work-family enrichment, employee well-being, and broader occupational health psychology topics. My goal is to work with organizations to make work better for every employee.

Anna Clark (MS)

Hello, my name is Anna! I'm an MS graduate student in the Industrial Organizational Psychology program at UNO. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University, which is also where I'm from! My research interests are primarily focused on employee well-being, including recovery from work stress, work-life balance, well-being interventions, illegitimate tasks, and technology use in the workplace. In the future, I would like to work with organizations to improve employee well-being and foster healthy, supportive company culture.

Abi Leyden (MA/PhD)

Hi, my name is Abi! I am an MA/Ph.D. graduate student in UNO's Industrial Organizational Psychology program. I work as a graduate assistant for the National Counterterrorism Innovation, Technology, and Education Center (NCITE). I received my undergraduate degree in International Business from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a Master of Business Administration. My research interests are focused on employee well-being, including recovery from work stress, work-life balance, well-being interventions, and illegitimate tasks. My goal in the future is to work alongside organizations and assist them in improving the structures they have in place to improve the workplace and foster a company culture that supports the well-being of others.

Emma Theobald (MS)

Hello, my name is Emma Theobald. I am an M.S. graduate student in the Industrial Organizational Psychology program at UNO. I am originally from Peoria, Illinois, and completed my undergraduate Psychology degree at Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis. My research interests include employee well-being, work motivation, and job satisfaction. My career goals are to apply my research interests and I/O Psychology knowledge to public service and more high-stress careers to improve job performance and satisfaction as well as decrease turnover rates and burnout.

Binisha Maharjan

Hi! I'm Binisha Maharjan, I currently work in the HR department over at Children's Hospital and I graduated with my Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. I love my 112 pound dog Navy, he's a golden retriever with a golden heart. If I'm not spending time with him then I am either reading, drawing, weight lifting or traveling. I'm interested in research that will help create new ideas and to find ways to improve an employee's life at work. I truly value an employee having a healthy relationship with the company they work for. I have a deep passion for how important it is to keep employees happy at work and finding ways to make that happen.

Hello, my name is John Wonderlich. I currently work for Scooter's Coffee as an HRIS Specialist. I graduated with my M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at UNO in 2023. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Washburn University in Topeka, KS. My research interests include well-being, training and development, and program evaluation broadly.
