Biography

I am an Associate Professor of Strategy at Erasmus University.

My research examines the sociopolitical dimension of firms, with a particular focus on corporate governance, social activism, and nonmarket strategy. To advance my theoretical interest, I often use natural experiments to overcome the challenges of inferring causality. My work has been accepted for publication in the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Management Science, and Organization Science.

I teach MSc, MBA/EMBA, and Ph.D. courses at Erasmus University. I won the Best New Course of the Year Award in the area of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, and I was nominated by my students for the prestigious RSM Innovative Teaching Award.

I spend my free time gardening.Â
