They have an Arduino simulator that you can use if you don't have materials to use. It's free and easy to use. The simulator has a wide variety of parts, and you can actually type up, run, and save your code there once you create an account.
Use this software to create professional diagrams and circuit schematics involving Arduinos and other electronic hardware. (It is not a simulator though - it does not have the capability to process and run code.)
ITP Physical Computing Course: What is Physics Computing?
This is a great resource for learning not just about Arduinos, but going deeper into the hardware (learning more about the relevant physics concepts, microcontrollers, motors, etc.)
This website has lots to offer, but specifically they have a free textbook that explains the physics and hardware of robotics.
