This is one of the best online resources for learning physics! I recommend you start here. It was created by a high school physics teacher.
- From the menu on the left of the window, start with "Physics Tutorials" and choose the topic that you need additional support.
- When you're ready to try applying these concepts, "Multimedia Studios" and "Shockwave Studios" have some thought-provoking simulations. You can also get some practice applying these concepts to word problems in "The Calculator Pad".
This is another awesome resource created by a physics teacher. It's similar in nature to The Physics Classroom, but this teacher also provides videos to supplement the tutorials. Ask Mr. Z what section to look in if you're not sure where to get started.
A plethora of videos created by a physics teacher on a variety of physics topics. Mr. Thomas-Palmer's videos are not only informative, but funny and engaging.
Another excellent set of videos created by a scientist who explains physics concepts in fun and engaging ways.
This website gives a brief overview of many basic physics concepts. This resource focuses predominately on equations and mathematical representations of concepts. Therefore, be sure to use this resource alongside other resources to get a well-rounded understanding of concepts.
Having trouble visualizing some of the abstract concepts we're studying? PhET has over 90 interactive physics simulations. Though we will be using them in class from time-to-time, feel free to use them at your leisure.
Khan Academy has many free videos and resources for students who are learning many subjects, including physics!
CK-12 has a variety of resources for students (and teachers) to use, including texts, simulations, and activities. There is A LOT here, so feel free to email me if you need help navigating this resource.
