Ready to join?

1. Contact us and let us know the age and gender of your child and school they attend.

2. Fill out the application forms (Youth and Adult) and pay the annual membership fees (National, Council, and Troop).

3. Complete your Youth Protection and mandated training, background check and live scan, and medical forms. Check out our other helpful resources on our resources page. 

4. Buy your scout uniform at the River City Scout Shop and show up for your first Troop and Patrol meetings!

The Troop uses your fee directly for your Scout's benefit. Unlike some programs, we charge for the whole year up front (and not monthly dues).  Your membership fees are used for:

• National and Council Youth/Adult Membership Fees

• Scout Life Magazine Subscription or Scouting Magazine Subscription

• Access to Scoutbook and Scout Manager to track your Scout's progress and receive information about events and information from the Troop

• Awards and Badges presented to your Scout during the year

• Supplies and reservations for Troop activities

If you need assistance paying the dues, please contact the Committee Chair and they will be happy to work out payment options with you. We also have a limited supply of uniform pieces that may be provided to families that need assistance. We want all youth to be able to participate in Scouting.
