This Privacy Policy describes how Zomo ("we," "our," or "us") collects and handles data from our driver-partners ("Drivers"). By registering as a Zomo Driver, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy to provide ride-hailing and logistics services in Lahore.
2. Information We Collect
Profile & Identity: Name, phone number, CNIC details, driving license, and vehicle registration documents (Bike, Car, Rickshaw, or Loader).
Location Data (Crucial): We collect precise location data to:
Match you with nearby passengers or delivery requests.
Track the progress of active rides/deliveries.
Background Location: We collect location data even when the app is closed or not in use if your status is set to "Online," This enables real-time ride matching, trip tracking, and safety features. .
Earnings & Transactions: Records of completed trips, fare bidding history, and "Mazdoor" service commissions.
Device Info: Battery level, GPS status, and device model to ensure app stability during trips.
3. How We Use Your Information
Service Dispatch: To show your real-time location to passengers waiting for a pickup.
Safety & Verification: To verify your identity and vehicle eligibility.
Earnings Management: To calculate your daily earnings and facilitate payouts.
Performance Tracking: To monitor driver ratings and ensure high-quality service for the Zomo community.
4. Data Sharing
With Passengers: We share your name, photo, vehicle plate number, and real-time location with the passenger who booked your ride.
With Logistics Clients: For Loader services, your contact info is shared with the sender/receiver for coordination.
Legal Compliance: Data may be shared with law enforcement if required for safety investigations or by Pakistani provincial authorities.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your information as long as your account is active. Drivers can request account deactivation and data deletion by contacting Zomo Support, provided there are no outstanding legal or financial obligations.
6. Permissions Disclaimer
The Zomo Driver app requires access to:
Location: Always (to find rides).
Camera: To upload document photos and profile pictures.
Phone/SMS: To contact passengers via the app.
