My name is Zoe Lux and I am a senior at Skyline High School. This year I am graduating from the Performing Arts Program and I am excited to share my journey and my capstone project!
I have been playing the piano since I was 6 years old. I took private lessons up until my freshman year of high school and wanted to incorporate some of my skills into my capstone project. I competed at state levels and studied music theory and music technique during my time in lessons as well.
I started playing the cello in 6th grade and I joined Skyline's Symphonic Orchestra my sophmore year of high school. I have participated in numerous award winning festivals, group performances, and I have made so many friends along the way.
Academics are very imporant to me and have been my top priority throughout high school. Balancing schoolwork, sports, music, clubs, a social life, and a job has been challenging over the years but my achievements speak for themselves.
I am a member of Skyline's National Honor Society and a member of the 4.0 honor roll
In addition to VPA, I will also be graduating with a STEM certificate at the end of this year. Check out my STEM Senior Capstone Website here!
After graduating from Skyline, I plan on attending Colorado School of Mines starting in the fall of 2022. I will be studying mechanical engineering with an emphasis in environmental science and sustainability.
I play girls volleyball and girls tennis for Skyline. I am a four year member and a varsity letterman for volleyball and I played the specialized positions of setter and libero. I was also a team captain and a floor captain.
In addition to volleyball, I also play girls tennis and I am a two year varsity letterman for number one singles and number one doubles.
My favorite things about sports are spending time with my teammates and creating a community that can't be found anywhere else. My favorite memories are traveling with my teams to away games and going to team dinners to celebrate our seasons.
