Dr. Zoe Nieraeth

(she/her)

I am a Juan de la Cierva Postdoctoral fellow in the Analysis and PDE group at the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics, a trans woman, and an activist.

My mathematical interests lie in analysis, specializing in harmonic analysis. My research concerns studying weighted bounds for multilinear singular integral operators through sparse forms and their connections to vector-valued extensions with respect to UMD Banach spaces. More recently I have been working on developing an understanding of the theory of quasi-Banach function spaces within the context of singular integrals as an abstraction of the classical weighted theory in Lebesgue spaces.

As an activist, I strive towards making mathematics an inclusive environment. I believe an intersectional approach is necessary to facilitate this change. Our liberation has to be for and with all of us.

I am an organizer of the workshop QuMA: Queer and Trans in Mathematical Analysis together with Jennifer Duncan (she/her), Silvia Ghinassi (she/her), and Emily Quesada-Herrera (she/her/ella), that is to take place in June, 2024. Registration is free and participation can be online and in-person.
