In my experience I learnt professional communication as I had to communicate with my superiors and students that I had to help in a professional setting as an SI leader, TeL assistant, part-time lecturer, and residence sub-warden. I also got exposure to a work environment dynamics including interviews and appointments. I also learnt an important life lesson of multi-tasking. I am confident that I will be able to thrive in the pressure of a workplace as I was part of these programs while I was a student, cementing that I can be able to multi-task while completing my everyday tasks with due diligence.
I believe that my experience has improved my knowledge of computers and further developed my academic skills. As an aspiring scholar, I have been equipped with strategies to avoid plagiarism and adapt to the forever-changing prospects of the digital world. I also learnt the art of accountability as I was submitting weekly reports about student issues as an SI leader while I was also submitting quarterly reports as a sub-warden.
I believe that I am ready for any workplace as I have gained some problem-solving skills. I have also gotten used to a professional working space and was taught about how to communicate, dress and conduct myself professionally.
