People can bring their pre-loved clothes to be exchanged for tokens at the welcome desk (1 item = 1 token). The token system will be divided into three categories; yellow, orange, and pink. Attendees will be given a coloured token depending on the quality of the item, as decided by the volunteer at the desk.
Yellow = Smaller sized items (e.g., tops and accessories)
Orange = Medium sized items (e.g., jumpers and dresses)
Pink = Larger sized items (e.g., coats and jeans)
The clothing racks and hangers will all be colour coded. A volunteer will take these pre-loved clothes in exchange for tokens and hang them up on colour coded hangers to be displayed on the corresponding racks for others to browse through.
Attendees will browse for items on the colour coded racks and hangers which match their colour token. Attendees will then bring their chosen clothes to the desk where they swap their token in exchange for the new clothing item. Attendees can swap their token for an item of the same, or lesser value. If they wish to swap for an item of a higher token value, they can donate the difference.
At 14:30, the option for buying clothes will become available whilst the swap shop still runs.
Prices for the items are as follows:
Yellow = £1
Orange = £2
Pink = £3
These are paid for at the desk.
