The Columbia Art League is a place for local and national artists of all ages to express their creativity and showcase their work. Founded in 1959 by local artists, CAL began as a gathering of people who wanted to promote the fine arts in the Mid-Missouri area, and give creators a way to share their work. In the 1970s, we became a nonprofit organization and we have continued to provide our community with a space to support the fine arts industry ever since.

Now, after more than half a century of business, we curate roughly 20 exhibits each year, and many of our displayed pieces are available for purchase. Our exhibits feature works of wood and glass, oil and watercolor paintings, ceramics, jewelry, photography, drawings and fiber art.

At the Columbia Art League, we foster high quality arts education at affordable rates through artist mentorship programs, gallery shows, and a variety of art classes for children and adults throughout the year. Our biggest event of the year is Art in the Park - the largest fine arts and crafts fair in Mid-Missouri!
