Biography

Hello there! I am a master student in the Columbia University.

My research interests mainly focus on RNA-centric gene regulation and neurodegenerative disease. Particularly, I am interested in studying biological process with systemic methods such as genomics and proteomics and also engineering tools for gene manipulation. I wish to contribute to our understanding about neurodegenerative disease and provide targets for developing therapies.

Education

I am currently a MS Biomedical Engineering student in Columbia University. I received the first class degree in BSc Biochemistry in 2018 from the University of Liverpool and a Dual-degree of BSc Biological Sciences from Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU).

I started my undergraduate in XJTLU in 2014, majoring in biological sciences. After the first two years' study in China, I joined in the biochemistry undergraduate degree program in the University of Liverpool in 2016 through "2+2" program as a Year 2 student and completed the last two years of my degree in Liverpool. Currently, I am enrolled in the Master of Science Biomedical Engineering program in Columbia University, seeking for the PhD opportunities from 2019.
