Research  Overview
I am deeply interested in understanding the complex changes that occur in policy, finance, and social systems — especially the underlying causal relationships that drive those changes. Rather than treating data as a static object of analysis, I view it as a reflection of dynamic mechanisms and interactions that can be uncovered and understood.

My research focuses on causal inference and interpretable machine learning, exploring how AI can move beyond prediction to provide clear, trustworthy explanations of its results. I am particularly drawn to studying how individual components within socioeconomic systems influence one another, and I seek to model these interactions using graph neural networks (GNNs) and other contemporary techniques to represent complex social and economic networks.

Through this lens, I aim to understand how policy interventions shape real-world data and to uncover the mechanisms behind those effects from a data-driven perspective. Ultimately, my goal is not only to predict outcomes but to explain why they occur, generating meaningful insights that contribute positively to both society and the economy.

저는 인과추론과 해석가능한 머신러닝을 중심으로 연구하며, AI가 단순히 예측을 수행하는 것을 넘어 결과를 명확하고 신뢰성 있게 설명할 수 있는 방법에 대해 꾸준히 고민하고 있습니다. 특히 사회 경제적 현상 속에서 개별 요소들이 어떻게 연결되고 영향을 미치는지 연구하는 것에 매력을 느끼며 그래프 신경망 및 최신 기법들을 활용해 사회 경제 시스템의 네트워크 구조를 모델링하는 연구에 관심이 있습니다.

저는 데이터 기반의 관점으로 정책 변화가 실제 데이터에 어떤 영향을 미치며, 그 메커니즘이 어떻게 동작하는지 이해하는 것을 연구 목표로 두고 있습니다. 저의 연구의 궁극적인 목표는 단순히 어떤 현상을 예측하는데 머무르지 않고, 왜 그런 결과가 나타나는가를 설명함으로써 사회와 경제에 긍정적으로 기여할 수 있는 의미있는 인사이트를 만들어내는 것입니다.
