Ruleocard — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
1. Controller and contact
Ruleocard is developed and published by Olivier TELOUK, operating under the studio name ZheBedGames. For questions about your personal data, contact zhebed.games@gmail.com.
2. Saves and Steam services
The game stores your progress, story choices, completed levels, hints used, play time, achievements and preferences on your computer. Your Steam ID is used to keep different accounts' saves separate.
When Steam Cloud is available and enabled, saves and some preferences are synchronised with Steam. Achievements also use Steam services. ZheBedGames does not operate a separate save server. This information supports the game's features. Valve describes its own processing here: https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/.
3. Feedback and support requests
Using “Send feedback” is optional. When you submit feedback, the game includes your message, its category, a UTC timestamp, the game version, the current level and its state, your language, certain control and display settings, recent errors and technical information: operating system, processor, memory, graphics card, graphics API and screen resolution.
The form does not request your name or email address. Its report does not deliberately include your Steam ID, computer name or a unique hardware identifier. A filter reduces file paths in messages, but cannot guarantee that free text contains no personal information. Do not include sensitive information or passwords.
Feedback is sent over HTTPS to a Google Apps Script service and stored in a private Google Sheet. Google necessarily receives connection information when handling the transmission. A local report is saved before sending; when transmission is reported as successful, the game attempts to remove that copy. If sending fails, it remains on your computer. Pending feedback is not automatically resubmitted.
If you email support, we also receive your email address, your message and any attachments you choose to send.
We use this information to answer requests, reproduce problems and improve the game. Where personal data is involved, this processing relies on our legitimate interest in providing support and maintaining the game's reliability. You can play without submitting feedback.
4. Unity diagnostics
The game uses the Unity engine. Where enabled in the distributed version, engine diagnostics may send Unity technical stability data and an installation-specific identifier. The purpose is to investigate errors and improve reliability; the legal basis adopted for this purpose is legitimate interests. Unity states that its Diagnostics service retains personal data for 90 days by default.
This processing is separate from the feedback form. No advertising or ZheBedGames marketing-tracking system is built into the game.
Diagnostics information: https://docs.unity.com/en-us/cloud/developer-data/privacy-overview.
Unity policy: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy.
5. Recipients and hosting
Requests and feedback are accessible to the developer and the providers needed to process them: Google for reception, storage and email, and Unity for enabled diagnostics. Valve provides Steam services under its own policy. We do not sell your data or use feedback for advertising.
These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Their policies describe processing locations and applicable safeguards; you can contact us for information about safeguards relevant to our processing.
Google policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
Google transfers: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks?hl=en.
6. Retention
Local saves and backup copies remain on your computer until removed. Deleting a profile in the game does not necessarily remove older backup copies or information already stored by Steam; Cloud synchronisation and achievements must be managed separately through Steam's options.
Feedback and support correspondence are kept while the request and the relevant fixes are being handled. Once that need ends, personal data is deleted or anonymised, unless retention is necessary to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Genuinely anonymised technical findings may be retained to improve the game.
Valve and Google's service-specific retention periods are described in their policies; Unity diagnostics follow the settings and retention periods of the service used.
7. Your rights
Subject to the conditions of applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact zhebed.games@gmail.com. Provide enough information to locate your request without sending unnecessary personal data. We cannot identify feedback that contains no personal identifier without additional information.
You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL: https://www.cnil.fr/, or your local supervisory authority.
Requests concerning Steam or Google's own processing may also be directed to those providers.
8. Visiting this page and changes
If this page is hosted on Google Sites, Google processes the information needed to display it under its own policy. The game and the website are separate services. This policy may change when features or processing change; its update date will be revised.
