At the Emerging Materials & Devices Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University, we explore the frontiers of electronics and intelligent systems through the lens of two-dimensional materials, advanced nanofabrication, and device-system co-design. Our mission is to develop the fundamental science and transformative technologies that will define the next generation of semiconductor devices and computing platforms.
By integrating materials innovation with device engineering and system-level architectures, we aim to push the limits of scaling, performance, and functionality beyond what is possible with conventional silicon technologies.
We are a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and innovators committed to research, collaborative exploration, and mentorship. We welcome students and partners who are excited to invent the future of information technology. Publications of our lab can be found here.
