ZHabits ("the app") is made by LetsbuildTek ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, who receives it, and how you can delete it. Questions: apps@letsbuildtek.cc
An anonymous account ID. The app creates one when you first open it. You do not need to give a name, phone number or email to start.
Your display name and time zone, which you enter or the phone provides, so your days start at your own midnight and group members can see who you are.
Your habits and check-ins: habit names, icons, colours, how often you plan to do them, reminder times, and the dates and times you check in.
Groups you start or join: the group name, its members, and the one habit you chose to share with it.
Your email address, only if you choose to back up your account. We use it to send you a sign-in code so you can restore your account on a new phone.
A push notification token, if you allow notifications, so we can send reminders and cheers from your group.
App usage events, such as "app opened", "habit created", "check-in" or "joined a group", and error reports (an error code and the screen name), and crash reports if the app stops unexpectedly. These carry your anonymous ID, counts and basic device details (phone model, Android version, app version, approximate country). They never contain habit names, your display name or invite codes. We do not collect your advertising ID.
Purchase records, if you buy a subscription: the product and the purchase confirmation from Google Play. We never see your card details.
Your habits are private by default. A group sees only the one habit you chose to share with it: the habit, the days you checked in, whether a day was repaired, and the check-in time. Group members never see your other habits.
Supabase stores your account, habits, check-ins and groups on our servers.
Google Firebase (Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics) receives the app usage events, error reports and crash reports described above, to help us fix problems and improve the app.
Google Play handles payments if you buy a subscription.
Our email provider sends the sign-in code if you back up your account with your email.
Expo and Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) deliver push notifications.
We do not sell your data. The app does not show ads.
We keep your data while you use the app. When you delete your data, it is removed from our servers. Usage events are kept by Firebase Analytics for up to 14 months, and crash reports by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
In the app, open Settings > Delete my data. This deletes your account, habits, check-ins and group memberships. It cannot be undone. Deleting your data does not cancel or refund a Google Play subscription; cancel that in Google Play. You can also email apps@letsbuildtek.cc to ask us to delete your data.
ZHabits is meant for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Each person's data can be read only by them, and shared group data leaves our servers only after checking that the person asking is a member of that group.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
