As the definition of privacy expands and changes due to the rapidly evolving technological landscape, attitudes about privacy are also changing. We sought to outline and discuss how individuals perceive their data privacy in variety of contexts, including but not limited to utilization of personal data by law enforcement and employers. Our focus was on volunteered personal data, such as web searches, location data and DNA volunteered for genealogy testing
The purpose of the study was to examine the
impact of adding sound to an animation, presented as
demonstrative evidence, on mock jury’s decision making and
perceptions of the animation. Participants were asked to
portray juror’s in a mock criminal case involving a workplace
accident.
Dr. William Pithers tasked students in his Honors Abnormal Psychology class with diagnosing a fictional character with one of the disorders discussed in class. I chose to analyze the main character of Ellen Hopkins' debut lyrical novel, "Crank."
Dr. William Pithers required each student to research and create a (shortened) group therapy manual on a topic of our choosing.
