The Saltanat of Zaladonia was founded on 7 November 2025 by Salaar, whose interests in countries, constitutions, law, and politics inspired the creation of the micronation.
Initially existing as a small personal project, Zaladonia became more formally organized on 15 March 2026, when its first written Constitution was published and the national administration was established. This date is celebrated annually as Constitution Day, while 7 November is observed as Founding Day.
Since its establishment, Zaladonia has developed a constitutional government, administrative divisions, and a distinct cultural identity built upon Danish, Viking, and Panjabi traditions.
According to Zaladonia's official national tradition, the origins of the nation trace back to a migration led by Salaar and a group of Panjabi warriors from Lahore.
The legend states that the group traveled to the Indus River, from where they sailed out of South Asia and journeyed around the African continent in search of a homeland where they would be welcomed. After repeated rejection by other lands, they eventually reached Europe, where they were pursued by a European army.
According to the tradition, Danish Vikings confronted the pursuing army, allowing Salaar and his followers to continue safely. The Panjabi migrants secretly sailed onward to the area around modern-day Roskilde, where they were welcomed by local Vikings. There, the two peoples united and established what would later become known as Zaladonia, combining their cultures into a shared society.
This account forms an important part of Zaladonia's national identity and cultural heritage.
