Administrative divisions

The Saltanat of Zaladonia is divided into five first-level administrative subdivisions.

Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

The Federal Capital Territory is the seat of the administration and contains the capital, Abraheemborg. Unlike the other subdivisions, it is administered directly by the Saltan. And it is also why they use the Normal Zaladonian Flag.

Nordland Region

Nordland Region is governed by an elected Governor. It is generally regarded as the more urbanized of Zaladonia's two principal regions.

Sydland Region

Sydland Region is likewise governed by an elected Governor. Compared with Nordland, it is considered more rural in character.

Nordland and Sydland cooperate through the Regional Cooperation Council, which promotes coordination and regional development.

Portland Territory

Portland Territory is designated as a Borderland Territory.

Rather than being primarily governed through local institutions, it is administered directly by the Department of Internal Security together with the Zaladonian Security Guards. Although the territory possesses representation within the national government, its local authority is comparatively limited due to security considerations and the need to protect against foreign tribal incursions.

Colony of Baherland

The Colony of Baherland is a self-governing colony of Zaladonia that combines traditional Zaladonian culture with Cowboy and Far Western influences.

According to Zaladonian history, Baherland was once an independent kingdom ruled by a tyrannical monarch. Following widespread public protests, its people sought assistance from Salaar, who agreed to help on the condition that Baherland would join the Saltanat as a colony. The proposal was accepted, and Baherland subsequently became part of Zaladonia.
