Zakaty is a free, privacy-first zakat calculator for Muslims. All calculations run on your device — no account, no cloud sync, no data sharing.

Features

Zakat Calculator

- Calculate zakat on cash, gold, silver, stocks, other investments, and liabilities. Cash entries default to your selected app currency.

- Asset selector on first step — only the sections relevant to your holdings are shown.

- Choose your nisab basis: Gold (85 g of 24K) or Silver (595 g).

- Results show zakat status, amount due, full asset breakdown, and a pie chart.

- Hijri date displayed alongside the Gregorian date on results.

- Export to PDF — share a formatted A4 report of your calculation.

Gold Holdings

- Enter gold by item (bars, coins — type, karat, weight, quantity) or by direct weight (grams per karat: 24K, 22K, 21K, 18K).

- Per-karat value rows show live prices and include Edit and Delete shortcuts.

- Live gold prices fetched and cached automatically.

History

- Every saved calculation is stored in an encrypted local database.

- Wealth trend chart at the top of the History page — bar chart of net wealth across your last 12 entries, color-coded by obligation status.

- Each history card shows the Hijri date alongside the Gregorian date.

- Tap any entry to view the full breakdown.

- Load from last calculation pre-fills all calculator fields instantly.

Backup & Restore

- Export all history and settings to a JSON file and save it anywhere on your device.

- Restore from any previous backup with a single tap.

Notifications

- Prayer Times— exact-time alerts for all 5 daily prayers, updated on every app resume.

- Islamic Events— 9 AM alert on the day of each upcoming Islamic event.

- Zakat Reminder— alerts at 60, 30, and 15 days before your Hawl due date.

Settings

- Language: English or Arabic (with full RTL layout).

- Currency: 18 currencies — KWD, SAR, AED, QAR, BHD, OMR, JOD, EGP, TRY, PKR, MYR, IDR, USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, CAD, AUD.

- Theme: Light, Dark, or System default.

- Biometric security: lock the app with fingerprint or Face ID; re-authenticates on resume from background.

- Prayer calculation method: 22 methods (Umm al-Qura, Kuwait, Gulf Region, and more).

- Madhab: Hanafi or Shafi.

- Per-prayer time offsets: shift each prayer ±60 minutes.

- Nisab basis: Gold or Silver.

- Useful links: official zakat organizations across the Gulf and Middle East.

Privacy

- All data is stored locally on your device in an encrypted SQLite database.

- No account required. No data is sent to any server except for fetching live metal prices and exchange rates (anonymous HTTP requests).

- Live prices are cached on-device to minimize network requests.

Languages

English and Arabic. Switch at any time in Settings — the app relaunches in the selected language with full RTL support for Arabic.
