Hello, My name is Zack Norris and I am a second year Student at Forrest Tech Center in the Engineering Program. I am most interested in the field of Industrial Engineering. I am most interested in this field because for the past three years I have had an Laser Technician job at Triton Defense. In my time there I have cut many different materials for many different projects using a laser CNC machine. I have learned how to use may different tools with my time there and that field got me interested into the Engineering Program and Business. My Dad has interested me in this field because he has worked with Triton for 26 Years and I have been interested in this for a while. I have decided this path was good for me ever since I started my job at Triton Defense.

Over my time at Leonardtown High School, I have took many courses to help me pursue this dream as an engineer. Some courses that I have taken are Algebra 1,2, Geometry and Pre-Calc. These courses can help with math in my everyday life and help me succeed in what I am doing. Things I have Learned with these classes is interacting with others, how to use certain materials, and building bonds with people around me to help me succeed.

When I am not at school or at the Tech Center, I play Baseball with my time. I have played Baseball since I was 4 and have played for teams such as Leonardtown High School Baseball, Southern Maryland Aces, Southern Maryland Senators, and Legion Post 255. This has taught me many life lessons to work as a team and to always try my best at what I am doing. I have a job currently at Triton Defense as a laser technician. This helps me get some experience in the work force and helps me get to know what it is like working with other people.
