At SHSU I regularly teach Contemporary Moral Issues, Ethical Theories, Bioethics, Environmental Ethics, and Introduction to Philosophy, all exclusively as asynchronic, online courses. I have developed a specialty in creating rigorous, online philosophy courses that challenge students to think deeper about the nature and scope of morality. If you are interested in learning about SHSU's Online Minor in Ethics, or are interested in co-deliberating about how to combat AI use in online classes, please reach out to me.
At Hood College I teach Ethics and at Frederick Community College I teach Ethics and Introduction to Philosophy. These are face-to-face classes.
In the 2019-2020 school year, I was the co-coach for the SHSU Ethics Bowl team that finished third in the Texas Regional Ethics Bowl.
In the 2017-18 academic year, I was the University Teaching Certificate Program Coordinator for UC Riverside's GradSuccess. Working in conjunction with Maggie Gover, former director of GradSuccess, I organized and helped facilitate a two-quarter intensive pedagogy seminar for advanced graduate students. I also organized and facilitated teaching development workshops open to the graduate student body as a whole.
