FROM MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS
My Math and Statistics background gave me a very strong foundation in these subjects. These courses were often related and taught in different context.
My experience with the mathematics program at Mizzou enriched me with heavy pure mathematical education but allowed me to further explore applied mathematics. The courses are mostly taught in the proof based pure format. What I gained from this program were very valuable problem solving skills and a handle on trial and error techniques. This coursework was extremely valuable in my pursuit to become a data scientist as data science relies on the underpinnings of the study of math.
