Zachariah Alvarado is a scholar, leader, and innovator seeking the next best opportunity to better himself and an organization. His work so far has been championing the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, mentoring the next generation, and researching new psychological findings to inform the people around him.

Zach earned his Bachelor degree in 2023 from Wabash College where he gained his foundational professional experience. In his senior capstone, Perceptions of Masculinity Among Male College Students, he analyzed the sleep deprived masculinity hypothesis that posits that men who sleep less are perceived and perceive themselves as more masculine. His findings led him to conclude the Wabash College students do not conform to traditional male role norms and do not think of themselves or others who get less than 7 hours of sleep as less masculine.

He is a supporter for better education opportunities for at risk youth and seeks to advocate on behalf of better pay and or benefits for public education teachers. Zach has worked in numerous education setting during and after his college career that have allowed him to work with children K-12 as a mentor, teacher, and friend.  Some of these programs include College Mentors for Kids, Project Transformation DC, and the Wabash Liberal Arts Immersion Program.
