Sky & Time User Guide
This user guide is designed to help you adjust the position of the sun, scene exposure, sun intensity, and the color and intensity of water in the Sky & Time environment to create the visual effect you want.
Sun Position
Sun Elevation: Controls the vertical angle of the sun relative to the horizon. Values typically range from 0 (below the horizon) to 90 (zenith). In this case, a setting of 2 means the sun is low in the sky and just after it rises.
Sun Azimuth: Controls the horizontal angle of the sun relative to due north in degrees. 0 degrees is due north, 90 degrees is due east, 180 degrees is due south, and so on. A setting of 180 means the sun is due south.
Scene Exposure
Scene Exposure: Adjusts the brightness of the entire scene. Smaller values make the scene darker, and larger values make the scene brighter. In this case, a setting of 0.5 would probably indicate a relatively dim scene.
Sun Intensity
Sun Intensity: Controls the intensity of sunlight. Higher values make the sun shine more intensely, and the shadows and highlights in your scene will be more distinct. A setting of 1 represents normal or default sun intensity.
Water Settings
Water Color: Defines the basic color of the water surface. Use a hexadecimal color code (such as #001e0f) to specify the color. In this case, the color is close to a dark green, which might be used to simulate a clear but slightly green lake or river.
Wave Intensity: Controls the apparent wave intensity of the water surface. Higher values make the waves more dramatic, while lower values make the water surface calmer. Adjust this setting to create a natural or dynamic water effect based on the needs of your scene.
Usage Tips
You can start by fixing the sun position, then adjust the exposure and sun intensity to achieve the desired light and dark contrast effect based on the needs of the scene.
When adjusting water settings, consider how the water color fits in with the surroundings, and how the wave intensity affects the mood of the scene.
Preview the results of your adjustments in real time to ensure that all settings meet your visual expectations.
Save your settings for future reuse or sharing with others.
By properly adjusting these parameters, you can create rich and diverse sky and water effects, adding more realism and appeal to your scenes.
