America's governing powers falling was the catalyst that led to Liam Carraghan seeking refuge with troops eventually reuniting a makeshift militia to purge any civilians after the U.N failed to re-gain control over the troops.
K.S Force led to the collapse of many quarantine walls via explosive weaponry to more.. cheaply deal with the unwilling survivor populace.

POI DESCRIPTIONS / LORE
F.O.B #2
F.O.B #2 is a recently established forward operating base used to house various reserve troops and serve also as a drop-off point incase things happen to go south at Fort NOX as they visibly often do by the K.S corpses seen there.
Originally where the K.S F.O.B #2 stands was a park and leisure center but soon after the release of the bioweapon that led to the end of modern civilization and authorities; U.N troops took over the park and used it as a makeshift food distribution center.. but over time the defenses fell weak and infected slipped in numerous times leading to the U.S marines getting deployed to make a real base out of the resources on-site, Those marines became the very same marines that fell under Liam Carraghan and once they scattered after Carraghan's fall the K.S swooped in and took the base for themselves gladly taking the remaining food supplies, ammunition and gadgets for themselves.
Fort NOX
Fort NOX is a facility used by the illusive K.S PMC group led by hedgefund off-shore billionaire Kestrel Downs in mainly weapons production but before the fall was used as a corpse disposal ground for the infected, You can still see the many yellow hazmat bags around the front entrance and some less than clean sterilization equipment used by Kestrel Security troops to try make a vaccine as a bargaining chip to lure people and the unwilling into joining the ranks instead of being met with a buttstock of a rifle or worse.
The facility is majorly understaffed and is now operated by a high-ranking K.S gunner that being General Dacks.
K.S Settlement
The K.S Settlement in-game is a neutral ground for the player to take on quests from K.S troops and high-ranking officers like Dawali or Medic Sarah.
A village under rule by oppressive K.S military forces who seem to make the villagers mostly slave away in factories which explains their absence from the village.
The village has been built-up with high walls, secure doors and housing for vehicles and supplies for the K.S troops stationed there.
F.O.B #3
F.O.B #3 is a major K.S point of power used for mainly reprogramming Chinese Invasion droids like the DD-02 M.E.G.A and similar units it also serves as a point for K.S troops to fix themselves a speedboat to travel down to the End Portal which was illegally created using villagers to make End-Portal Frames
