Romania 

Romania was my first time out of the country, and it sparked my love for travel and missions!
Learning about new cultures and experiencing life outside the U.S. has been truly amazing.

In July 2023, I went with my church to serve in Romania for 10 days. We led a VBS (Vacation Bible School) for the local Roma people, also known as gypsies, who are often outcast by society. Every day, we had the opportunity to love on them, teach Bible stories, and provide a meal, all for free.

My heart broke as I saw young mothers who had been sexually assulted by relatives or given to men in marriage at a very young age. Girls as young as 12 were already raising children. Young boys were forced to support their families.

I continue to pray for freedom for the women and children trapped in these situations, many of whom see no way out.

I will never forget my experience in Romania and how it deepened my desire to make a lasting difference in the world.
