This page was created as I accumulated enough sample syllabi during my job search. Please note that all syllabi reflect how I would like to teach particular courses, thus tentative. Because I believe strongly in hands-on learning (talking and thinking are cheap, until they emerge in concrete forms), one major component in all the syllabi is to direct students to generate “output” and provide them with feedback, (e.g., proposing a small follow-up study and delivering the idea in writing and presentation).
