Research funding/small grants for Early career researchers:

        i.            2022 - Co-PI, Consultancy project ‘Re-purposed Excavated Arising Loops (REAL) research project’, funded by SCS Railways for developing sustainable binders through the use of excavation waste from the High speed-2 project (£15,000)

   ii.            2022 - Bragg EPSRC Summer Project for Summer Research internship sponsorship to appoint a student to work for 8 weeks on the topic of ‘Characterisation of early age reaction products in calcined clay blends by X-ray diffraction studies’ to be carried out in Bragg's centre at the University of Leeds, UK (£2,000)

iii.            2023 - Henry Royce Institute Summer project for Summer Research internship sponsorship to appoint a student to work for 8 weeks on the topic of “Elucidating the CO2-Cement interaction via scanning electron microscopy and Raman imaging mapping” (£3,200)

iv.            2024 - EPS Faculty Summer Internship scheme from Bragg/Royce to appoint a student to work for 8 weeks on the topic of ‘Mechanochemical activation under CO2 environment for mineral activation and CCUS’ (£3,300)
