Yuval Benjamini

Applied Statsitics and Data Science

Senior lecturer in the Department of Statistics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel.

Co-Director of Center for Interdisciplinary Data Science at HUJI.

Exploration and statistical inference for large scale data, in particular when simultaneous multiple measurements are available but the number of samples is relatively small.

This scenario is common in:

  • Neuroscience, for example in fMRI or multi-electrode neuronal data.
  • Genomic signals such as DNA-sequencing coverage or DNA-methylation.
  • Other data that is hard to collect, such as manually collected social network data, cognitive test battery scores, etc.
