Theses
Senior Thesis: FY2018 Faculty of Science, Kochi University "Attempt to detect surface displacements related to deep low-frequency tremors in Shikoku district, southwest Japan"
Master Thesis: FY2020 Division of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University "Development of the detection method for short-term slow slip events using GNSS data and its application to the Nankai subduction zone"
Doctoral Thesis: FY2023 Division of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University "Activities of short-term slow slip events clarified by a systematic detection using decadal GNSS data in the Japan and Alaska subduction zones"
Research Interests
I'm interested in studies about crustal deformation recorded in satellite geodesy data, especially transient phenomena such as slow slip events. I'm also curious about non-tectonic signals and noise recorded in such datasets. Recent my questions are as follows:
How do we detect small slow slip signals accurately?
What does cause the regional characteristics of slow slip events?
How common is the common-mode error in GNSS data?
Others
I'm a super indoors person.
I love dogs. I spent a lot of time with Shiba when I was a child.
Thanks to my mother, I'm good to cook. I'm able to make "Hayashi rice" without using commercially available sources.
I like writing scripts for my research. I usually use Python but have experience making Julia, Matlab, and Fortran programs.
I've belonged in the football (soccer) club for 8 years (mid-elementary school - mid-high school). I love dogs. I spent a lot of time with Shiba when I was a child.
My Background
I grew up in Mabi town, Kurashiki, Okayama. I used to play in rice paddies and a mountain when I was a child.
