Yuta was born and grew up in Tokyo until he graduated from a college there. He then relocated to New York area to be trained as a teacher. He has taught at various international/boarding schools including Nagoya (Japan), Hawaii (US), Beijing (China), Hong Kong and Phuket (Thailand) before joining OLSH in 2016. 

Yuta's passion is to teach a second language, particularly speaking skills. He aims to provide a differentiated instruction to meet each student's need as well as to unpack learning materials with audio-visual support using various technologies (Google Certified Educator)

Besides teaching Japanese at OLSH, Yuta has a huge passion for coaching tennis, and he strongly believes that  extra-curricular activities are equally important as academic classes. He truly enjoys having a unique relationship with students through common interests.
