Our department hosts a variety of workshops and conferences aimed at advancing research and fostering academic collaboration. Below, I highlight events that specifically focus on spatial economics.
SPACE Workshop Series
SPACE stands for Spatial and Political Analysis of Contemporary Economy. Recognizing the growing body of research in spatial economics and the critical role of political analysis in today’s economy, the Workshop Series was initiated in 2024 and is sponsored by the Shanghai Institute for National Economy (SHINE).
Global SPACE Workshop: This workshop features scholars from around the world. Link
Local SPACE Workshop: This workshop primarily focuses on local scholars and is mainly conducted in Chinese. Link
Sino-Japanese SPACE Workshop: This workshop aims to foster academic collaboration between researchers in China and Japan. Link
Our goal is to make each of these workshops an annual event. If you are interested in participating in future events, please feel free to contact me!
