Dr. Secerdin accepted a job offer for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the Department of Engineering Technology & Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University starting September 2020. During this position, he will be working under the supervision of Dr. Bahar Cavdar.

A new job also means starting a new life and moving to a new town. He will be living in College Station, TX, after dealing with the hot climate for six years in Miami, FL.

Secerdin defended his dissertation on July 2, 2020, and graduated with a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Miami in August 2020.

Will be called Dr. Secerdin from now on! :)

Secerdin was selected for the runner-up award in the field of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the First Annual Graduate & Postdoctoral Research Symposium at the University of Miami (including a monetary prize), also qualified to participate in the Statewide Graduate Research Symposium at the 2019 Conference of Florida Graduate Schools takes place at Florida International University.

Secerdin was awarded third place in the Best Student Paper Competition among 27 papers submitted in the Logistics and Supply Chain (LSC) Division at the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering (IISE) Annual Conference and Expo 2018.

Y. Secerdin was admitted to the doctoral program in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Miami in August 2014.

Secerdin was admitted to the doctoral program in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the TOBB University of Economics and Technology in January 2014 and later quit from the program in August 2014.

Secerdin was granted a full graduate student scholarship and admitted to the master's program in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the TOBB University of Economics and Technology (TOBB ETU) in January 2011 and graduated in December 2013.

Secerdin graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Hacettepe University in June 2009.
