I am an Early Career Academic Fellow (postdoc) at the School of Banking & Finance of the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney), since 2024.
My research focuses on uncovering robust behavioral patterns in financial decision-making under risk and deep uncertainty while exploring their underlying neurobiological mechanisms. I am also interested in addressing the model uncertainty issue in risk assessment and portfolio management.
Combining analytical depth, experimental rigor, and neuroscientific insight, I am enthusiastic about research collaborations that cross traditional academic boundaries. I will be on the academic job market for the 2025/2026 academic year.
I obtained my Ph.D in Actuarial Science from UNSW Sydney under the prestigious Scientia scholarship. Before my PhD, I completed my master's degree in Operations Management and my bachelor's degree in Statistics at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), admitted in "the Special Class for the Gifted Young" (a highly prestigious and nationally selective program with only 50 admissions each year across China).
I taught several courses in finance and actuarial science, covering topics such as behavioral finance, financial/actuarial mathematics, derivatives, life insurance, and superannuation. I am also recognized as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
