Hello, I’m Yun.

I’m an Assistant Professor in the Innovation, Policy, and Entrepreneurship (IPE) Thrust at HKUST(GZ).

I study how institutional shifts—intellectual property regimes, government policy, and geopolitical tensions—shape the way firms and entrepreneurs innovate. I use causal inference and experiments to identify these effects.

I earned my PhD from the National University of Singapore and completed my master’s and bachelor’s degrees at Peking University.
