This section encompasses my academic research. I have combined the theory of design thinking with topics in engineering education, utilizing methods from user experience research to analyze the onboarding experiences of new engineers in engineering organizations and the journey maps of engineering students during their coursework.Â
New Engineers' Socialization Experience is an academic research project funded by National Science Foundation, for which I was the student researcher leader. I was responsible for managing the project's progress, conducting interviews, and leading group discussions in data analysis. I also created the icons and images for the research findings. The project aims to evaluate newly-hired engineers' experience during their organizational socialization period.
