一橋大学商学部在学中およびブリティッシュ・コロンビア大学留学中に出会った研究者の方々から影響を受け、社会心理学者を志しました。東京大学大学院人文社会系研究科社会文化研究専攻修士課程・博士後期課程を経て、2023年から神戸大学大学院人文学研究科に在籍しています。詳しい経歴や業績等に関してはresearchmapを参照してください。

研究テーマ
公平や公正とは何かという問いのもとで、以下のテーマについて検討を進めてきました。
＜公平の実現が難しい仕事分担＞
人々が集団の中で生きるうえで、仕事の分担は不可欠です。公平に分担できればよいでしょうが、それが難しい状況もしばしばあります。これまで私は、集団の中で誰か1人がコストを負えば全員が恩恵を受けられる状況（「ボランティアのジレンマ」といいます）に着目し、そこで生じうる不公平に人々はどのように対処しているのかを、経済ゲーム実験などを用いて検討してきました。最近は、数理情報学の知見を借りながら、仕事が複数あるような複雑な状況における人々の認知や行動について検討を進めています（参考：さきがけ人間中心インタラクション「公正な分担の実現に向けた人間理解の深化」）。

＜不公正が生じることの影響、不公正を気にすることの影響＞
不公正を経験することや不公正に対して敏感であることは、行動や心身の健康などに対して様々な影響がある可能性が指摘されています。この可能性について検討するため、これまで私は、大規模調査の二次分析を行って日本の高齢者における不公正の経験と主観的ウェルビーイングの関係を検討したほか、調査や実験を通じて不公正に対する敏感さの個人差が他者との協力行動などに与える影響を検討しました。
なお、不公正に対する敏感さの個人差を測定するうえでは、Manfred Schmittらによって開発された尺度の日本語版（公正感受性尺度日本語版）を作成して用いました。この日本語版尺度を学術目的で使用する際には、文献を適切に引用していただけるのであれば、私の許諾をとっていただく必要はございません。

＜罰行動の要因＞
罰は不公正をなくすために行使されるイメージがあります。しかし、人々が罰を行使する要因はそれだけではありません。例えば、感情的に罰を行使したり、周りに同調して罰を行使したりすることもしばしばあります。現在、こういった罰行動の要因に対する理解を深めるための検討も進めています。
