Research Assistant (Aug 18 – Nov 17, 2023)

Korea Research Institute for Local Administration (KRILA)

I participated in a study titled 'Comparative Analysis of Nighttime Healthcare Accessibility between Seoul and Gyeongsangbuk-do.' When considering the resident population, medical accessibility in Seoul and Gyeongsangbuk-do appeared relatively similar. However, a notable contrast in healthcare accessibility emerged during nighttime hours when utilizing mobile data and population records based on medical card usage. The findings underscore the importance of considering spatiotemporal factors in healthcare planning.

Community Management & Teaching Assistant (Nov 25 – Dec 30, 2022)

Global Development Partnership Center (GDPC), Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements (KRIHS)

I served as the Community Manager and Teaching Assistant for the online classes at the Global Development Partnership Center (GDPC) within the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements (KRIHS). During this engagement, I shared South Korea's national development experience with 145 participants from 42 countries. This experience allowed me to observe the common concerns shared by various countries in areas such as urban environment and healthcare issues.

Research Assistant (Oct 4 – Nov 5, 2022)

Korea Research Institute for Local Administration (KRILA)

I actively participated in a research initiative aimed at increasing the employment rates of young individuals in public institutions within the Chungcheong Province of South Korea. My role encompassed conducting case studies focusing on examples from South Korea, Japan, and the United States. Notably, I observed that, in contrast to Korea where government-led initiatives dominate public sector employment, both Japan and the United States emphasize the crucial role of universities and local communities in fostering organic collaborations for the employment of local youth.

I participated in a project during a visit to the University of West Georgia, focusing on the analysis of keywords submitted to the AAG (American Association of Geographers). Through this project, we derived a total of seven publications and presented the results at two academic conferences. This research initiative not only contributed to the academic discourse by expanding the understanding of key topics within the AAG submissions but also resulted in substantial outcomes in terms of publications and conference presentations.
