I study how firms design and manage retail, service, and AI systems. My research examines how decisions about product offerings, pricing, and resource allocation interact with customer behavior, congestion, and uncertainty. I develop analytical models to understand these interactions and uncover principles that can guide better operational decisions.
My current work and interests include:
LLM routing, model selection, and human–AI workflows
Assortment planning, pricing, and inventory management
Service operations and congestion
Customer choice, search, and behavioral models
Resale platforms and incentive design
I’m happy to exchange ideas with graduate students and researchers interested in related questions.
At GWU, I teach Operations Management at the undergraduate and MBA levels, as well as Revenue Management Analytics. I received my Ph.D. in Operations Management from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in 2023. Before that, I earned a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering, with a minor in Business Administration, from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
