Meet the organizers
Weber-Ban Lab, ETH Zurich
I got my Master's degree from the University of Tubingen and am now a 3rd year PhD student at the ETH Zurich working on the targeting of substrates towards the Pup-proteasome degradation machinery in mycobacteria. In my free time, I like to go hiking or play field hockey for a team here in Zurich.
Weber-Ban Lab, ETH Zurich
I obtained my Master's degree from the MPI in Bremen, Germany and am now a 4th year PhD student at ETH Zurich. My PhD project focuses on ATP-independent degradation mechanisms in mycobacteria involving the 20S proteasome. In my free time I enjoy mountain sports (hiking, climbing, skiing etc.) and also playing rugby for my local Zurich club.
Hartl Lab, MPIB Martinsried
After obtaining my Master's degree from the University of Bielefeld, I spend a year at Northwestern University Chicago as a pre-doctoral fellow. Now, I am a 1st year PhD student at the MPI for Biochemistry, working on protein quality control factors preventing the aggregation of alpha-Synuclein. In my free time, you’ll find me at the gym or running in nature.
Hartl Lab, MPIB Martinsried
After obtaining my Master's degree from the LMU Munich, I couldn’t turn my back on this beautiful city and decided to stay, doing my PhD at the MPI for Biochemistry. In my five years in the lab of Ulrich Hartl, I have been working on novel optobiochemical tools to study protein aggregation processes in neurodegenerative diseases. When not in lab, you can find me on the squash court, in the gym or hiking in the Alps.
