This is a listing of various tutorials that I have made to assist others in creating addons for YS Flight.

A Treatise on the Creation of Maps
This article was written with tips and strategies for creating a map, along with some information about how to
use the scenery editor, and mixed with some of my opinions and philosophies of making maps for YS Flight.
This tutorial explains the basics of creating a ground object. It starts with the assumption that the reader
already knows how to make a .srf or .dnm object for YS Flight.
Making an Aircraft Carrier Ground Object
This tutorial explains how to create an "aircraft carrier" ground object, although it applies to any ground
object upon which you would traverse with a player-controlled vehicle in YSF, including landing pads,
runways, bridges, and arresting wires.

Installing Addons for YS Flight
This is a tutorial for installing some add-ons for YS Flight. I used two add-on packs, listed below. While there are many add-ons that are much more difficult than EEE, I used it as a teaching tool to show that using the .lst files for the add-ons is a sure way to know exactly where the files belong. Owl's recent release, on the other hand, is an example of the modern release format.
This video shows the basics of making a runway for YSF. This method will produce a straight runway with
properly-alligned markings.
Using Elevation Grids as Buildings
This video gives a short demonstration for how to use elevation grids as buildings in the scenery editor.
This video is a very basic explanation of gradation quad strips in the scenery editor.
Improved lighting (for OpenGL2)
This video explains how the improved lights in the OpenGL2 version of YS Flight work. First I make a simple
model, then I show in a text editor how to make it glow.
