Hi, my name is Yatin Singla. I was born and raised in a relatively small city called Chandigarh (India). Chandigarh is based in the foothills of Shivalik mountain range.
Hi, my name is Yatin Singla. I was born and raised in a relatively small city called Chandigarh (India). Chandigarh is based in the foothills of Shivalik mountain range.
Believe it or not even though this mountain range was basically in my backyard, I never went hiking, mountain biking, or on any other outdoor recreational activities for that matter. I moved to the United States a couple of years back to pursue higher education. Since then I have called Pullman, Washington my home. I'm grateful that I chose Washington State University to pursue my bachelor's degree in computer science and finance. I've made many great friends at this university.

I like to get involved. Some of the activities I've taken part in include tutoring, mentoring, and attending a lot of conferences. I love working in teams and have grown as a person by shouldering responsibilities in the following roles- Student Ambassador for the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture, President of the club Academia, Resident Advisor for the Department of Housing and Residence Life, Lead Tutor for the Academic Success and Career Center and Peer Mentor for the Office of International Programs. I’m also part of the Boeing E-Connections program and the Boeing Mentor program.

This past summer I got the opportunity to intern at Dell EMC, Seattle. I worked on making the existing testing framework smart. The testing framework was able to detect the feature-set supported by a specific version of the software being tested. This enabled testing framework to automatically run tests for only the supported features without human intervention. This means different versions of a software can be tested at the same time using a single framework.
