Winter Sport declarations are due to YRAA by Friday November 11th, 2022! You have to declare your team if you plan to compete at the YRAA competition in March! If you miss the declaration, please have your school's Athletic Designate contact YRAA administration ASAP! Thanks!
Preseason Meeting - November 29, 2022
The preseason meeting will take place in person at Huron Heights S.S. on Tuesday November 29th, 2022, starting at 4:00 pm in room 407. Park in the North lot off of Huron Heights Drive and head upstairs. Room 407 is 3/4 of the way down the hall on the right.
Belay Certification & other OPHEA Guidelines
All coaches are responsible to review and enforce all OPHEA guidelines for the sport, including belay certification and concussion awareness. See the OPHEA page for more details.
Invitational Competitions
These competitions are not official yraa events. Schools outside of yraa and independent climbers (with parent approval) are welcome to attend. Contact the facility for registration details and more information.

Note: Only open to yraa school teams. Coaches must register all athletes by one full week before.
This is technically the whole "season" wrapped up into 2 days. Athletes are encouraged to attend at least one of the invitational competitions to gain some useful experience before the yraa comp.
Three divisions - recreational, sport and elite. Athletes are automatically placed in a division based on qualifying results.
Hosted at Of Rock & Chalk, Newmarket.
Fees:
Registration - $27.00 (HST included) per student athlete
Harness rental - $3.75 (HST included)
Shoe rental - $3.75 (HST included)
Chalk & bag rental - $4.00 (HST included)
Schools will be assigned a date to reduce crowding in the gym.
Note: in the event of an inclement weather day, the competition will take place on the Friday.
