Alpha centauri is a trinary system 4 lightyears away in the southern constelation centaurus. The stars in the system are called Rigil Kentaurus, Toliman, And Proxima Centauri. It has the closest exoplanets and one of them, called Proxima b, has a chance of life and is similar to earth! Unfortunately, it's tidaly locked 😞

Rigil kentaurus is a G2V yellow dwarf a little bit larger than the sun. It has a possible giant planet.

Toliman is a K1V orange dwarf a little bit smaller than the sun. It also has an unconfirmed planet.

Proxima has 1 confirmed planets and 2 candidate, Proxima b is an earth like planet, Proxima d is a rocky planet, and Proxima c is either a super earth or a mini neptune.
