Youth Voices Sacramento Inc. is a grass roots organization founded by two Sacramento youth advocates in 2018. The purpose of this organization is to educate and empower young people in the Sacramento area through interactive activism and community service initiatives. What makes YVS so unique is our organization approach to uplifted and valuing the input of youth. Completely youth facilitated and coordinated, our organization is directed by the voices of our Board Members and Executive Team. Youth should be able to create their own solutions to the problems they see in the world around them, and we aim provide a platform that will allow them to do so.

Youth Empowerment: Our goal is to educate and empower youth to advocate for themselves and make informed decisions with the betterment of their communities in mind. We want to engage youth in projects that teach them leadership values and how to take initiative.
Representation: We aim to represent the entire population of Sacramento and the goals of the community as a whole. Our goal is to ensure that every community gets the chance to make their voices heard.
Equality/Equity: We want to make sure that everyone has an equal opportunity to share their opinions and that we tailor projects and programmatic culture to address those the needs of our community.
Diversity: We want to represent the diverse population of Sacramento as well as celebrate the differences between us.
Acceptance: We want to promote acceptance by fostering an environment that emphasizes appreciation for our differences over tolerance.
