The Youth Justice Lab at Arizona State University's School of Criminology and Criminal Justice is dedicated to conducting rigorous empirical research on juvenile justice. Our work spans from program evaluations to randomized controlled trials, self-reported quantitative surveys to in-depth qualitative ethnographies. We collaborate closely with policymakers, practitioners, and scholars to address critical issues such as racial-ethnic disparities, law enforcement-youth relationships, juvenile justice, and youth and the law. Led by Professor Adam Fine, our mission is to inform and influence policies and practices to improve outcomes for youth in the justice system, while empowering the voices of justice-impacted young people to drive change and advocate for their rights and well-being.
