Once you figure out your stance on an issue (from informed research), figure out what you can do! Listed below are ways to take action and demand change.
Taking action encompasses demanding change, so they are both listed together.
Generally, you can help victims/people affected, inform others about the issue (and what they can do), and contacting people with the capacity to enforce change (representatives). The people in the streets (metaphorically or literally) - us - inform the course of the representatives' direction for change.
Activism is adaptable. Here are some ideas; be creative!
Creating resources ;)
Making short films
Creating art or poetry
Protesting (make sure if you decide to protest, you follow all Covid protocol for your location and refer to the ACLU's guide for protesting rights -- listed in Resources)
Petitioning (signing petitions and writing new ones if you can't find one for an issue)
Boycotting a product, company, etc.
Providing support (ex: making/sending first aid kits, making period kits for people in poverty, etc...)
Calling/writing to changemakers (find who you can contact under Resources)
Having conversations about issues
Becoming knowledgeable and spreading information
Advocating for/against an issue
